Biography
Lasha Tsertsvadze is the founder and managing partner of FLS Full Legal Service. Since 2020, he is a member of the Legal Committee of the Sakartelo Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Since 2007, he has been a member of the Georgian Bar Association. He is also a mediator and arbitrator. Member of the Association of Mediators of Georgia and the Association of Arbitrators of Georgia. In 2006-2011, Lasha Tsertsvadze held the position of senior lawyer in JSC Silk Road Bank, and in 2012-2015, he was the head of the problem assets management department and headed the departments of judicial and enforcement support, management of problem assets and sale of assets owned by the bank.
In parallel with his practical and advocacy activities, Lasha is an associate professor at Eastern European University and Tbilisi Free University.
Lasha is also a co-author and trainer of the program developed within the framework of the corporate law reform implemented with the support of the German Cooperation Foundation (GIZ) and East West Management Institute, Rule of Law in Georgia (USAID, East West Management Institute, PROLoG). Since 2022, he is a member of the editorial team of the new law of Georgia on entrepreneurs. Lasha is an invited expert in business law of USAID Economic Governance Program and UN Global Compact Network Georgia. He is a member of the editorial team of the new law of Georgia “On Entrepreneurs” (effective from January 1, 2022).
In 2011, he became a fellow of the foundation named after German businessman Joachim Hertz and received a full funding of 22,000 euros to study at the Master’s program at Bucerius Law School. And in 2014, he successfully worked on his dissertation within the framework of a scholarship for young scientists of the Max Planck Institute of International Private Law and Comparative Law (Germany).
Lasha has graduated IV. Tbilisi State University named after Javakhishvili. He also holds a Master of Laws and Master of Business from Bucerius Law School. (Master of Law & Business, Bucerius Law School & Who-Otto Beisheim School of Management). In 2015, he successfully defended his thesis in corporate law, IV. at Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and became a doctor of law.
Lasha is the author of a number of scientific articles and monographs on the obligations of directors, as well as the co-author of the Handbook of Corporate Law (USAID/JILEP) and the Handbook of Contract Law (GIZ).
